Kokatat was first known to
us by their nylon paddling tops we bought around the year
1990. The tops were as good as
non-breathables could be. We actually still use those for client
use.
In 1992 we bought the first Kokatat
Gore-Tex Front-Entry drysuit. Kokatat had already started their
pioneering work with Gore-tex paddling gear in the 1980's. That
suit lasted for 16 years, it was retired in 2008. We
added a women's Meridien drysuit with drop-seat to our personal gear in
2003. This has also been great and the drop-seat is designed so
it does not interfere with comfort when sitting in an Explorer.
During 2008 we became a Kokatat
dealer and invested in Kokatat apparel and pdf's for our guides, fleet,
and demo gear.
