Products
We sell only products we use ourselves and that we can be proud
of. We also work closely with the manufacturers whose products
we sell and provide feedback for product improvements. Our
intention is not to become a major retailer selling a plastic kayak to
every lily pond, but to have a lot of the skilled sea kayakers and
kayak guides in Finland using our products.
Our
pricing is meant to be fair. We do not intentionally undercut
anybody, but neither do we gouge top Euros despite the high quality of
products we sell. However, we buy most of our products in other
currencies than Euros (US Dollars and British Pounds). Therefore
we are at the mercy of Exchange rates. We will revise our pricing
normally, when the exchange rate changes about 10 % of what we have
used as pricing basis. The valid price is the current list on our
homepage at the time of an order.
We do not store a lot of stuff, but
work mostly by acquiring client orders to add to a reasonable amount of
gear, and then importing it from our Original Equipment Manufacturers
(OEM's). Therefore, you will normally not get the gear right
away, but hopefully within a reasonable time…
We were happy to see in Sea Kayaker Magazine’s December 2008
Issue, that almost all of the products we sell were winning their
respective categories in their Reader’s Choice Award
contest. Sea Kayaker Magazine is probably world’s largest
circulation Sea Kayaking publication. Interestingly enough, many
of these have also been some of the most popular products that our
Finnish clients have been ordering in 2008. Our clients have a
taste for quality...
